Dawn O'Brien
A lifelong dancer, Dawn discovered Arabic Dance in 1996. She began teaching and performing professionally in 1998. Director of Khalgani, the UK's first Tribal Bellydance Troupe, she specialises in both Cabaret and Tribal styles of bellydance, and has pioneered the development of Cyber style. Dawn frequently teaches and performs throughout the UK and overseas, in addition to running sell-out dance courses in and around the West Midlands. A sought-after performer and instructor, Dawn dances and teaches at many UK festivals and corporate events, and is a fully insured member of Equity.
What
Dawn will take you through the fundamentals of Cyber Fusion. This dance style draws heavily on street and club dance culture. The workshop will include a detailed breakdown of locks and pops and will look at travelling within this dance style including footwork, glides and floats with the possibility of building layers over travelling steps.
