The Bellydance Superstars & Raqs Britannia Team x
American Tribal Style (ATS) Formations, Cues and Transitions

Who
Sarah Jeffery-Emerys
Sarah lives and breathes ATS, and is the director of Kismet Bellydance Ltd. Her dancing career spans three decades, and covers everything from representing Britain in professional Latin American competitions worldwide, through teaching in Fred Astaire dance studios in the USA, to being Carolena Nericcio's UK representitive charged with co-ordinating and promoting Carolena's activities and the original Fatchance bellydance format in Britain.
What
Improvisation and the subtle, non-verbal communication between the dancers is the most exciting and challenging aspect of ATS! Using some of the basic slow and fast movements and steps in the FCBD vocabulary, we will explore the concept of leading and following, formations, cues and transitions. Suitable for dancers who have some experience of ATS. Bring zils if you have them!
